The Hubbell RCT201NI is a dual sided flush-mount pop up receptacle designed to look beautiful in your countertop, and meet code for in-counter receptacles. The light brushed nickel finish top is perfect for matching nickel and stainless steel fixtures and appliances in your kitchen.
Flush Mount Installation (Showing Black Color)
Create a gorgeous look in your kitchen by flush mounting the pop up outlet even to the countertop. It recesses in the counter so no part of the pop up is above the counter. Flush mounting creates a clean and hidden look for your power.
Please contact your stone fabricator before ordering. The fabricator will need to make a 4" counterbore cut with a depth of .09" where the bezel will be, using a CNC machine is recommended. If a flush installation can't be accomplished, this model can also be surface mounted. Alternatively, this same pop up is available in a surface mount installation model. The only difference is the surface mount model has a rounded edge and sits on top of your counter. To see the surface mount models, CLICK HERE.
Dual Sided Waterproof Power Outlets
Press the top and it fully pops up showing an outlet on each side, making it convenient to plug in your small appliances and mobile devices from either side of the pop up. On one side of the pop up the outlet is upside down, allowing you to plug in larger style plugs.
The pop up has been tested to achieve a spill proof rating for the outlet in the closed position and open position. Silicone gasket seals keep water from entering the outlet, and the inner mechanics and electrical of the pop up. The 15A plugs are waterproof rated and feature tamper resistant sockets to meet code.
Meets the Latest 2023 NEC Code 406.5E for Countertops
The pop up meets code for kitchen and wet location installations in counters, it is compliant to 2017, 2020, and 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) 406.5E for countertop use in the USA and Canada. Hidden pop ups provide convenient access to outlets in your counter, they also can be used to meet code that requires a countertop outlet. In-counter outlets also provide a safety feature by eliminating hangings cords caused by traditional. outlets in the side of an island. This pop up is designed to be flush mounted in kitchens, islands, bathrooms, or any work station or seating area that may encounter water.
To install hardwire your wires up to the bottom of the pop up, drop the pop up in the hole, and secure by tightening the lock nut to the underside of the counter. The pop up can accept non-metallic sheathed cable, and/or metal conduit by using a wire clamp or 1/2" knock out. The pop up needs to be fed by a GFCI protected circuit, typically done by a GFCI switch at the electrical panel.
Small Discreet Pop Up
The top of the pop up is only 4” round, when pressed, the power only pops up 1.69” above the countertop. The outlets are a very modern looking all gloss black finish. The pop up can be installed in many locations due to it only taking up 3.52” of space under a 3cm thick countertop.
Replacement tops can be purchased if you ever want to change the color of the top, or if the top ever became damaged.
