Lew Electric OB-2-CT-SP Pop Up Outdoor Countertop Power Box
This pop up electrical outlet is perfect for any of your outdoor power needs. Enclosed in an attractive waterproof stainless steel finish, it works great for covered outdoor kitchen countertops, or covered decks. With a push button on the top that provides quick access to plug-in power, you can enjoy the sunshine and use your electrical devices at the same time! The OB-2-CT-SP is an attractive solution for powering any of your outdoor kitchen appliances and charging mobile devices. The design and installation make the box weatherproof against any type of climate, providing a safe exterior outlet.
IP66 Waterproof Power Outside Where You Need It
The pop up features a waterproof top with an IP66 water and dust rating when in closed position. This means that no dust can enter the box, and it is protected from precipitation or hose directed water while closed.
The outlet plugs are 20 Amps, they are tamper resistant (TR), and the outlet is weather rated (WR). The outlet has integrated GFCI protection, that way if the outlet senses any change in current it will self trip and stop sending power.
The box is wet location damp rated, meaning that it can go in an outdoor countertop or deck that is covered.
Stainless Steel Marine Grade Top
The top of the pop up is made from marine grade stainless steel to withstand any harsh climate that weather can throw at it. Stainless Steel #316 increases general corrosion resistance as well as improves resistance to pitting from chloride ion solutions. Water sitting on the top of the unit will not discolor the top. The material also offers increased strength at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for any outdoor application.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Is there a hardwire option for this outdoor rated push to open countertop outlet?
There is just the corded plug option.
-
Why is this plug 20amp thus requiring a 20amp receptacle. Does it draw additional power beyond what is plugged in?
The device doesn't draw any power itself. The 20 Amp receptacle lets you plug in higher draw devices that use more amperage without tripping the breaker, that also allows you to use devices simultaneously. Some local county codes also require 20 amp receptacles for residential outdoor applications, while all commercial applications require a 20 amp outlet. A 20 amp outlet requires a 20 amp plug and matching thicker gauge cord to pass code.
